The importance of houses in English Literature begins to hold more relevance in the early 17th century and this trend continues into contemporary writings. When analyzing the significance of houses in Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, â€Å"The Lake Isle of Innisfree† by W. B. Yeats, and Dracula by Bram Stoker, it confirms that houses have reached beyond their functional roles, and have developed characters such as, history, ideology, and mystery, which can foreshadow future occurances by illustrating the motivation and drive of the owner of the household. In Austen’s Northanger Abbey, the Tilneys’ house, Northanger Abbey, is used as a place to show-off the extent of the family’s wealth, as well as honor the passing of Mrs. Tilney. The Tilney family inherited a large amount of wealth, placing them in a high social class. General Tilney is a materialistic individual who enjoys showing the wealth of the Family. The outside of the home is described as a huge â€Å"luxuriant plantation, and was â€Å"rich in Gothic ornaments† 148. This description is what General Tilney wants and strives to hear. Discrimination happens all around us, and in many different forms. When it comes to being employed, there are laws in place to protect us against certain methods of discrimination. According to a website used by many lawyers, businesses, and individuals, discrimination is â€Å"Unfair treatment or denial of normal privileges to persons because of their race, age, sex, nationality or religion† (â€Å"Discrimination†). However, there is nothing specifically to protect us when it comes to our appearance. As children in the U.S., we are raised with a certain idea of what being attractive is. People who are overweight, have tattoos, or even body piercings are usually perceived as not being attractive or are less qualified based on looks alone. As the law stands now, an employer has the right to discriminate against an individual who is adorned with any body modifi cations. Three major court systems in Hamilton County were reviewed in depth, and case information from the Common Pleas, Domestic Relations, and Municipal Courts were reviewed. This study compiles information from 38 Judges who had a total of 182,908 cases presented to them over a three year period. This study shows the number of cases that were disposed, appealed, and reversed. This study is to aid in determining which judges have a greater proficiency trying cases and their verdicts stand as rendered, rather than the verdicts being appealed or reversed.Each judges case load was reviewed and the statistics were determined by how many cases have been appealed, reversed or a conjunction of both. This information will help determine the judges who have made the least, as well as the most errors, while serving in the Hamilton County Court System over the three year period. This study will show that for all the disposed cases in the Hamilton County Court System during the 3 year evaluation period, the Common Pleas Court the probability of a case being appealed and reversed is 0. In these three court systems alone, out of 182,908 cases, 2,368 were appealed and 320 of those cases resulted in reverse decisions.

My first experience in college for the first time was pretty awesome and managing at the same time. The difference between high school and college that is high school is more frequent with a five-day class in a week. College , are between professors and students that would meet up in class one or two times is, one to thr ee times/week in the classroom other meetings need to be scheduled. But when I was managing fifteen credits while working, I had some difficulties at times in some of my class courses when I had to face time management . Between work and at school. However, I still manage d to succeed later. By managing college is to select classes are as how I want to be for my concerns, make sure I em ail professors and checking on B lackboard for my any work assignments needs to be done, and also p la n to spend two hours studying outside of the classroom for every one hour of class each week . My first goal of how I manage fifteen credits on my first semester was to make sure I select my classes on time. For example, at time s it was really hard for me to wake up and take the bus jus t to go to school at the beginning of the first semester. Because of this , my parents would go to work early and they would be late if my parents dropped me off at NOVA. They both would probably would face some d ifficulties.
